Yuku blogs aren't on any Yuku search apart from attracting people from the "Tags by Me" block that will get you on the profile search.
The boards have Forum Find but blogs have nothing.
One way to get over this is to cheat and get your blog on Forum Find.
This is done by creating a Blog Board such as this one is. There is always a chance that those hunting for communities will also click to visit a board of yours.
Now creating a board isn't going to get you instantly on Forum Find. You do need 100 posts and 10 members to get your board on show.
To get 100 posts simply spam your own board.
To get 10 members ask those you know to just make one post as a favour and use all of your other user names to also make a post.
You make a private forum that will hold copies of all blog posts you make. This has to be private or you will find people posting on both blog and board in the same post.
Instead of posting a blog post directly on your blog, post it in your private forum and tick the "Blog This" at the bottom of the post which will automatically add it to your blog. No copy and pasting.
Posting like this in an private forum will keep your blog/board in the Forum Find
Make sure that on your board you add links to your blog for those that find your board to follow. For this the link should be the url to the blog/view page.
More tips on using a blog/board
Either give your board the url of "Usernamesblog" or perhaps you might like to give it the special name you have given your blog.
Give your board the same skin, or as close as, your profile. This helps link your profile, blog and board all together.
Put a general chat forum on your board for people to leave messages that are a little bit more than comments.
Add another open forum for nothing but Polls. Once you have created a poll on your board then simply put the link to that poll on your profile.
You can also add forums on your board for other things that interest you that don't really apply to adding to a blog.
The board doesn't have to have loads of forums, as long as it looks attractive and there is an obvious link to your blog then chances are people will find their way to your blog.
Add a sidebar to the board. In this sidebar you can add links into specific blog posts of interest - Add an rss feed which will show your last 20 blog posts - The odd image in the sidebar with a link to a post may also attract visitors and comments.
Above all, remember you are not trying to create a community with this blog/board. Make it look too much like a community and people will just skim over it and move on. Do make it obvious that it is a Blog/board primarily to link to your active Yuku blog.
